British Foreign Secretary, David Lammy, once again proved his complete ignorance of the geography of Judea & Samaria particularly of the road familiar to Israelis and every tourist who has ever driven down to the Dead Sea from Jerusalem.
This highway takes you past Maale Adumim, a thriving Israeli town with a high education system and a thriving industrial area which once employed thousands of well paid Palestinians before the BDS Movement destroyed the economic future of those they claimed to support.
Israel recently gave final approval from the planning and building committee to build 3,500 new apartments in Maale Adumim.
Foreign Secretary Lammy condemned the move claiming it would breach international law which it wouldn't because Maale Adumim is located in what is called Area C which remains an integral part of Israel. according to the Oslo Accords, until such time as the Palestinians prove themselves genuine in living in peace and securty alongside the Jewish State, something they have refused to do for decades, and, at which time, Israel may be obliged to cede all or part of Area C to a peaceful Palestinian entity should such an animal ever appear.
Lammy said: “If the Israeli plan is implemented, it would divide a Palestinian state in two, mark a flagrant breach of international law and critically undermine the two-state solution.“
This clar shows that Lammy has not looked at a map of Area C. Iy may enlarge a Jewish presence but it will not "divide a Palestinisn state in two."
This is typical of the many obnoxious statements coming out of the mouths of emotionally charged but ignorant policy and influence makers in the West who tend to throw in blatantly false statements to gain a sympathic hearing.
In other words, what Lammy said was a lie.
Perhaps, Mr. Lammy, there is emerging a peaceful alternative to your two-state failure?
Have you heard of that, Mr Lammy?
Namely a cluster of emirates throughout Judea & Samaria who have witnessed, and suffered from, the indignity and total failure of the corrupt and undemocratic Ramallah-based PLO in which the local tribe, clan, or leader prefer to govern over their own population, as is developing in Hebron and parts of Gaza, preferring to be given control and to govern over their own people rather than be dictated to by unelected corrupt and detached officials in Ramallah who they do not respect and no longer wish to be attached to or governed by.
Lammy is detached from this reality. He is ignorant of these recent developments. He is still wedded to past failed concepts that have proven themselves to be dangerously and violently delusional leaving Israelis the primarty victims of their diplomatic blundering.
One thing is certain. You will hear a lot more about the emirate concept taking root both in the areas badly government by the PA in Ramallah, and also to become the governing concept in a new peaceful and prosperous Gaza.
