Gaza Statement from Yasser Abu Shabab, head of the Arab tribe in Rafah:
“The war for thousands of Gazans in eastern Rafah is already over. This is how all of Gaza should be.”
Yasser Abu Shabab, head of the armed Rafah militia fighting Hamas Rafah, wrote in the Wall Street Journal:
While most Gazans are still suffering as the war between Israel and Hamas continues, for thousands of people in eastern Rafah the situation is different. For them the war is already over.
There were no casualties from airstrikes in this area.
There is no overcrowding at the aid distribution points.
There is no fear that Hamas will plant explosives in homes.
The people can sleep peacefully without worrying that they won't survive another day.
This should not be the exception, it could be the case for all residents of Gaza.
Most Gazans do not want Hamas to rule, but despite their hatred of Hamas, they are still afraid of it.
Following the protests earlier this year, there were protesters who were killed, tortured and disappeared.
We have received inquiries from many families who want to move to East Rafah. We are ready to take responsibility for everyone in Rafah. Within a few months, about 600,000 people, about a third of Gaza, will be able to live outside the conflict zone.
After the success in Rafah, it will be possible to establish independent areas in other places.
We need 3 things:
1. Financial support
2. Humanitarian aid and infrastructure for the population.
3. Safe passages to these areas.
In a short time, most of Gaza will be transformed from a battlefield into communities that can heal and move forward.
This is the only way to end this conflict.
In effect, Yasser Abu Shabab says that the way to defeat Hamas is through clean geographic areas free of Hamas, such as his in Rafah.
A partnership of tribes and mayors.

Can't trust those arabs. Gaza should be Jewish again and Gazans voluntarily leave to Turkey, Qatar, France, Indonesia, etc.
